MEET & GREET
April 7 arrived and we were treated to heavenly scones with clotted cream and divine strawberry jam along with numerous other tasty snacks as we got to finally put a face to our fellow travelers. John briefly outlined the schedule and gave us a homework assignment: choose our meals from the menus of a few of the restaurants we'll be going to. Hmmmm.......whole cornish mackerel or sausage of the day? Steak & ale pie or slow roasted belly of pork? Hey - here's a familiar item - nachos served wtih sour cream, jalapenos, salsa and melted cheese. But wait - I may as well stay home if I'm going to order that!

Is It Too Soon?
to start looking at the extended forecast for London?
It's a ritual for me whenever I travel, to start checking the weather a few weeks before the departure date. I will bookmark the location and then each morning click on, sometimes with a happy result, and other times, with cause for worry.
Of course it's too early to start the angst over the weather. Around May 9th though....that's a different story.
